Superstar Rihanna late Wednesday released her long-awaited eighth album Anti
The new album reached its millionth download within less than 15 hours.
The milestone marks a major boon for Jay Z's music streaming service Tidal, which got exclusive rights to the Anti premiere.
Tidal offered a million free downloads with Rihanna's sponsor Samsung which were snatched up within 15 hours, each download came with a 60-day free Tidal trial.
The excited singer tweeted "1 MILLION in under 15 hrs!!!!,""Thank u to all my fans and @samsungmobileus."
The song was also streamed 13 million times within the first 14 hours.
A deluxe version of Anti that includes three new songs also dropped Friday.
